Doris Fraizer

Doris O. Fraizer, age 86, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Saturday October 3, 2015, at Freeman Hospital, following a long illness.

Doris was born on August 16, 1929 in Alton, Il., the daughter of the late Henry Seypholt, Jr. and Nora (Chapman) Seypholt. She spent most of her adult life in Joplin where she worked for Elder’s Manufacturing. She retired from Joplin R-8 Schools where she worked in food service. She was a member of the Saginaw Baptist Church. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and canning and spoiling her little dog Daisy.

She married Fred Fraizer and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bud Chapman, and two sisters, Joanne Willis and Regina Liles.

Doris is survived by one son Oran Baker, Joplin; three daughters, Norma Edmondson, Joplin, Mary Rivette and husband Paul, Joplin, and Edith McKale and husband George, St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Fern Still and husband Richard, Carthage, Mo., and Sonja Hefley and husband Harold, Altus, Ok.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Freeman Hospital for the care given to their mom and entire family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Pastor Glen Pinkerton will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
