Bill Henderson

Mr. William “Bill” Charles Henderson, Sr., 77, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Bill was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1945 San Diego, California to the union of the late Alva and Eileen (Bohelinger) Henderson. 

On December 11, 1999 in Council Bluff, Iowa he was united in marriage to Lois Petersen. 








Bill spent most of his life as a professional over the road truck driver. For many years he drove for CFI. While with CFI he earned many awards for his exceptional driving records. Two awards he was really proud of was the One Million and Two Million miles award. He was a very devoted employee and driver and was respected by his fellow drivers and co-workers.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football, racing, and barbecues; as well as spending time with his friends. He was a member of Standing at the Cross Church. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.








Bill is survived by his loving wife of twenty-two years, Lois Henderson of the home; and his little fur babies, Gracie and Sophie.

A Celebration of life for Mr. Henderson will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Standing at the Cross Church with Pastors Eric Roach and James Yost officiating. A luncheon will be provided after the service. In-lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the celebration of life for Bill Henderson in care of the church.
