Mary Webb

Mary Alice Weyandt-Webb, age 83, of Joplin, MO, passed away May 30, 2022, with family by her side.

She was born to the late Margaret and Glenn Best in Washington D.C. and attended Northwestern High School. Following high school, she attended nursing school in Prince Georges County, MD earning her LPN. 

She married the late Donald Weyandt of Claysburg, PA in 1957.








She is survived by her two daughters Suzan Gordon of Orange Park, FL and Peggy Clouse of Joplin, MO, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Weyandt, her son Donald S. Weyandt and a grandson.

Mary Alice was dedicated to helping others, working many years as a nurse, working with the Ocean Springs Police Department, the Joplin, MO school system and becoming an ordained minister. To know Mary Alice was to love her. She showered this world in compassion and genuine love. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly and her faith was admirable. She made an incredible impact on every individual she met by making them feel accepted and loved for their authentic self. Mary Alice was a light in this world and radiated it onto those around her by helping in any way she could. During her retirement she enjoyed teaching bible study classes. She was extremely proud of her family and will be greatly missed but is now walking in the garden with the Lord.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Golden Paw Pet Rescue in Joplin, MO to benefit her love of animals. A memorial service will be planned for later this summer.
