(From Peterson Funeral Chapel)Mary Louise Twitty, age 93 of Aurora, Missouri passed away Friday, January 23, 2026 in the Lacoba Nursing Home. She was born February 15, 1932 in Guymon, Oklahoma. The daughter of Ronald and Ethel (Allen) Ullom.
Mary was a member of the Verona Baptist Church, the Long Distance Hiking Association, Rocking A Saddle Club, Ozark Trail Association, Michigan Trail Riders Association. She loved her church, hiking, traveling and riding horses and she was also the author of the book, "The Dream Trail."
Survivors include two sons, James "Steve" Twitty of Aurora, MO. and Clyde Twitty and wife, Debbie of Bella Vista, AR.; one brother, Paul Ullom of Cerritos, CA.; two sisters, Rosetta Ullom and Virginia James both of Springfield, MO.; 5 grandchildren, Tammy Branham of Mt. Vernon, MO., Ross Reed of Aurora, MO., Carrie Reed of St. Elizabeth, MO., Katrina Twitty of Belle Vista, AR. and Lance Twitty and wife, Lisa of Las Vegas, NV.; 5 great-grandchildren, Luke Branham, Adam Branham, Lucinda Grubaugh and husband Austin, Tyler Reed and wife, Skyla, and Clayton Reed; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, RaeLynn Neely, Reese Neely and Riley Neely.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29 at 2:00 PM in the Verona Baptist Church with Larry Herndon officiating under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time in the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lottie Moon Offering in care of the funeral home.
