Christopher Morgan

(From Parker Mortuary)

Christopher Cory Morgan, age 52, of Carl Junction, Missouri, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He entered this life on June 17, 1973, in Joplin, Missouri, the only child born to the union of David and Pamela (Bramlett) Morgan.

Raised in Joplin, Christopher was a graduate of Joplin High Schools, class of 1991. He furthered his education by attending Franklin Technical College and Missouri Southern State University (MSSU). Christopher's career as a lead draftsman spanned over twenty-eight years with Allgeier, Martin and Associates, where his expertise and attention to detail were greatly valued. His passion for sharing knowledge was evident as he taught computer classes at both Franklin Tech and MSSU.

Christopher's creative soul found expression in his part-time work as a woodcarver at Silver Dollar City, where his craftsmanship delighted many. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through in Morgan's Creations, a business that showcased his artistic talents. Christopher was not only a talented woodcarver but also a published author of two books on woodcarving techniques, sharing his expertise with a wider audience.

His interests were diverse and reflected his intelligent and creative nature. An avid vinyl music collector, Christopher found joy in the rich sounds of the past. His talents extended to the canvas as a painter, and he embraced the technological advances of 3-D and laser printing, always eager to explore new artistic frontiers.

Christopher's legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Summer Morgan of the home; a daughter, Avri Hames, and her husband, Christopher, of Joplin; two bonus daughters, Carly Pfeiffer and her husband, Tristan, of Gentry, Arkansas, and Chloe Abts of Carl Junction, Missouri. The joy of grandfatherhood was bestowed upon him by his granddaughter, Mayzie Hames, and he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of Otis Hames, his first grandson. His parents, David and Pamela Morgan, and grandmothers, Edith Morgan and Nora Bramlett, all of Joplin, will hold his memory dear, as will a host of other family members and friends who were touched by his warmth and generosity.

Christopher was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William E. Morgan; maternal grandfather, John E. Bramlett; and a granddaughter, Ava Hames. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening, July 11, 2025 at Parker Mortuary from 5-7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
