(From Parker Mortuary)Rev. Joseph Charles “Buddy” Walker, age 94, of Carl Junction, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 with family at his side.
Rev. Walker was born September 22, 1930 in Joplin, MO, son of the late Finis Walker, and Juanita (Mitchell) Stevenson and his step dad Joseph Stevenson. He grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin High School. He began preaching at a young age and was preaching at Hornet Pentecostal Church before going to Lone Elm Pentecostal Church where he served for approximately 50 years.

He loved to hunt and fish, and spend time with his family, especially his wife, Noreen. He was a very talented musician, and could play several instruments. He and his wife were very well known for their musical talents, and were asked to hold many revivals throughout the years presenting the gospel in both word and their musical talents. He will be missed by many.
