(From Knell Mortuary)Annie Wu Lamkin, age 92, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Monday night March 15, 2021 at her home. Annie was born on February 19, 1929 in Shanghai, China, the daughter of the late Chung Yii Wu and Poh Shung (Chen) Wu.
She married Harry Lamkin on April 16, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada; he preceded her in death on February 13, 2008.
Annie moved to the United States in 1984 and received her BS from MSSU and then received her MS in Studio Art from the University of Tulsa.
Annie attended Fairview Christian Church in Carthage. She was a lifetime member of the Carthage V.F.W. Post 2590, the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed learning and playing the piano.
Survivors include her children, Shoa Wei Lee, and Luke Lee, both of San Jose, California; Godson, Jim Hart, Carthage, Missouri; two sisters, Mei King Wu, and Pei King Wu both of Shanghai, China; two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother.
Per Annie’s wishes there was cremation. Graveside services will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
