(From Ozark Funeral Home)Doris M. Boyd, age 65, passed away on March 27th, 2021, at Joplin Freeman Hospital with her family by her side. Doris was the loving wife of Michael Boyd, Anderson Mo.
She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, and daughter of Gerald and the late Deloris Steele, of Anderson, Mo.
Doris graduated from high school at Hutchinson, Kansas High School in Hutchinson, Kansas. Doris had retired from Creative Communications in Great Bend, Kansas, before moving to Anderson, Missouri, with her husband in 2005.
Doris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the grandchildren play baseball and softball. She loved to decorate her home and collect photos of her children and grandchildren and could be seen any nice day working in the yard planting or working with her flowers.
She is survived by her father, Gerald Steele of Anderson, Mo. And her husband Michael, also of Anderson. Doris had six children Belinda Schaffer of Anderson, Mo. David Martin of Gainesville, Georgia, Christeenia Arnold of Bartlesville, Ok., Jessica Gonzales, of Anderson Mo., Anthony Bice of Texas. And Gerald Potter of Bronaugh Mo. As well as a total of 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Deloris, sister Mary, brother Jerry, and brother-in-law Wayne.
A memorial service will be held on April 11th, 2021, at the Pineville Community Center, 602 Jesse James Road, Pineville, Mo., at 11:30 am, followed by a luncheon for immediate family and close friends.
