(From Fohn Funeral Home)James Douglas “J.D.” Robbins, age 68, of Washburn, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born November 25, 1952 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Roy and Ophelia (Bowling) Robbins.
On August 5, 1972 in Cassville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Faye Price, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Brian Robbins and his wife Angie of Washburn, Missouri; two daughters, Tracy House and her husband Chris of Cassville, Missouri and Heather Moore and her husband Joe of Diamond, Missouri; one sister, Linda Tichenor of Exeter, Missouri; five grandchildren, Maggie Robbins, Bonnie Robbins, Austin Sparks, Sophia Moore and Stella Moore.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Kenny Robbins and one sister, Debbie Lewis.
J.D. spent his entire life in Barry County, receiving his education in Exeter, Missouri, graduating from Exeter High School in 1971. He was employed by FASCO Industries in Cassville as a machinist for several years. Hunting, fishing, gardening, beekeeping and woodworking were favorite pastimes. Watching the grandkids playing sports and fishing was a joy for him, for he loved them dearly. He was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Randy Comer will conduct the services.
