(From Parker Mortuary) Saundra Lee Carr-Cooper, age 60. Seneca passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Communities of Wildwood Ranch.
Saundra was born September 12, 1960 in Baxter Springs, Kansas, daughter of the late Bob Carr and Eloise (Curtis) Carr.
She graduated from Baxter Springs High School and worked as a car hop on roller skates at the local Sonic while going to High School.
She worked for Liebherr Mining Equipment in Baxter Springs, and with Aaron Sachs and Associates as a paralegal. She most recently owned and operated an Air B&B in Joplin at the home where Bonnie and Clyde stayed on South Oakridge St. She enjoyed hearing all the stories, and history of this home. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Baxter Springs.
Survivors include her husband, Stan Cooper of Seneca; brother, Robert H. Carr, II and wife Kim of Rogers, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Caleb Carr, Taylor Carr, and Gracie Carr; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Don Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary following the service.
