Anita Johnson

Anita Kay Johnson was born August 1, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, one of six children to Keith L. Hilsabeck, Sr. and Thelma Ficklin Hilsabeck. She entered into rest on May 16, 2022, at her home in Diamond, Missouri at the age of 70, following a lengthy illness. 

Anita moved to the Granby area as a child and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from East Newton High School and had worked at Neosho Products, Sunbeam and retired from Jarden. She enjoyed camping, being outdoors, fishing and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Granby First Baptist Church. 







Anita and Virgil W. Johnson were married in February 1970 in Wisconsin and Virgil survives of the home. 

In addition to her husband, Anita is survived by two sons, Jeffery Johnson and partner, Kevin of Joplin, Missouri and Brent Johnson and wife, Tonya of Granby, Missouri: three grandchildren, Colton Johnson, Daylon Johnson, and Gracie Johnson and two sisters, Rita Lynn Lowery and husband, Dave of Granby, Missouri and Mary Louise Hilsabeck-Huber and wife, Sue of Springfield, Missouri. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Joy Diane, and two brothers, Keith Lowell Hilsabeck, Jr. and Brad Hilsabeck.
