Curtiss Lynch

Mr. Curtiss Dale Lynch, 74, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Curtiss entered this life on Tuesday, July 29, 1947 in Joplin, Missouri to the union of the late Harold Floyd and Helen Lee (Hasselbring) Lynch. He went to Sarcoxie Schools and later obtained his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering at Pittsburg State University. 

On November 1, 1968 he enlisted in the United States Army, retiring in 1985 as a Master Sergeant, Also a First Sergeant for many years. His career field was Military Intelligence. 








During his enlisted years he received many Commendation Medals and Ribbons. Army commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Extraordinary Medal, Four Overseas Service Bars, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with palm and Sharpshooter Expert and was active member of the group Duffies.

On October 4, 2011 he was united in marriage to Linda Campbell and together they shared ten years.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie, the American Legion, the Sarcoxie Sentinels, a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, and was involved and supportive of the Veterans Memorial in Sarcoxie. He recently returned home from the Veterans Honor Flight. He enjoyed golfing as well as spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lynch and Helen Howard; brother,Gregory Earl Howard; and Joyce Lynch.








Curtiss is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Verna Robertson and husband of Neosho Missouri, Amy Jasinski and husband, Chad, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jordan Levi Lee, and wife, Caitlyn, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren Austin Lynch and his wife Lauren, Rosie Haley and Helen Jasinski, Joseph Heflin, Jacob Heflin and Brayden Lee; siblings, Keith Howard and wife, Jan, of Overland Park, Kansas, David Howard and wife, Barbara, of Joplin. Missouri and Jonalee Gordon, of Sarcoxie, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services with full military honors for Mr. Lynch are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie with Pastor Gary Griffin officiating. Inurnment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sarcoxie.
