Michael Uptagrafft

Frederick Michael Uptagrafft III, 52, Mexico, MO passed away suddenly at his home in Mexico, MO, May 10, 2022.

Frederick Michael Uptagrafft III was born November 30, 1969 in Huntsville, AL the son of Frederick (Fred) Uptagrafft Jr. and Donna Jean (Carmack) Uptagrafft. Michael was a 1988 graduate of Russellville High School, Arkansas. 

After high school earned an Associates degree in Fine Arts at Arkansas Tech University. Following that Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas. 








Michael worked for SGL Carbon in Arkadelphia, AR as a project engineer, Facilities Engineering Supervisor, and Maintenance Supervisor from 1997-2002. He then worked for Dyno Nobel in Carthage, MO as a Project Engineer and later as Maintenance Manager. His final employer was Boehringer Ingelheim in Kingdom City, MO as Associate Director of Infrastructure and Facilities Maintenance. 

Michael was joined in marriage to Ashley Dianne Heistand on May 10, 2019 in Carthage, MO. Michael loved Razorback Sports, mudding, 4 wheeling, fishing, NASCAR, back roading with Ashley, and competing at anything with his dad and brother.

Michael is survived by his wife Ashley and children Tyler, Tayler, and Bailey Mae. Baby dogs Emily, Ellie May, and Itty Bitty; His father Frederick ( Fred) Uptagrafft Jr., One brother Daniel Lee Uptagrafft and his wife Alicia, their children Taylor, Blake, and Nathan and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Jean (Carmack) Uptagrafft, grandfather and grandmother Federick (Fred) Uptagrafft Sr. and Frances Louise Tatum Uptagrafft; “Grandma” Della Mae McCall, “Mister David” David Leon Heistand, and “Uncle Dave” David Lee Heistand.

The body has been taken for cremation. A Celebration of Life Memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm Friday, May 20, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, Seneca, MO. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, May 21, 2022. Followed by dinner, music, and a game or two of pool at Dad’s (Ross Heistand) 14529 Bethel Road, Seneca, MO.
