(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Robert A. (Bob) Scott, age 95, of Joplin, MO passed away on Monday, September 19,2022 in Norfolk, Ne.
Bob was born March 29, 1927 in Omaha, NE, the son of Rea and Myrtle Scott. He was a 1945 graduate from Benson High School in Omaha.
In 1947 Bob enrolled at Ozark Bible College in Joplin, MO. and graduated in 1950. He received a Master's degree at Lincoln Christian Seminary, now Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, IL in 1956.
Bob held Student Ministries in Marble Falls, TX, and Humboldt, KS. He held Pastoral Ministries in Council Grove, KS, Francesville, IN, Webster City, IA, Waterloo, IA, Mondamin, IA, and Lamar, MO. He helped start and served 39 years as a Director of Christian Evangelistic Mission, which starts new churches in Iowa. He was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Waterloo, IA Kiwanis Club for nine years.
Bob was married to Cecil Grice June 27, 1946 in Cleveland, MN. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Bob married Denise Crane September 28, 2021 in Joplin and she survives.
Additional survivors include five sons, Dan Scott, Lowell, AR, Mark Scott, (Carla), Carl Junction, MO., Phil Scott, Lowell, AR, Tom Scott, (Brenda), Rose Hill, KS, and Tim Scott, (Julie), Webb City, MO., two stepsons, Scott Crane (Tammy, Joplin, MO, and William Crane (Lara), Asbury, MO, a stepdaughter Laura Crane, (Tara), Granby, MO, 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild on the way.
