Truman Minyard

Truman L. Minyard, 80, of Diamond, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Truman entered this life on Saturday, April 11, 1942 in Silverton, Texas to the union of the late Jewell and Ruby (Nance) Minyard. For most of his life he was in the trucking industry, traveling throughout the country as well as full time farming. 

He loved spending time with his family and friends, working on his farm and taking care of his cows. He was a devoted family man and a hard worker that never retired. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.








He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sisters, Virgal “Peaches” Minyard, Betty Ruth Massengale and Neta Sample.

Truman is survived by his wife Terri Minyard, of Diamond, Missouri; and daughter, Cristie Minyard and husband, Michael Ross, also of Diamond; a host of nieces and nephews, Belva Elkins, Silo, Oklahoma, Wayne Sample, Boswell, Oklahoma, Connie Cowden, Sherman, Texas, Marsha Sample, Durant, Oklahoma, Bobby Massengale, Boswell, Oklahoma, Pat Dill, Calera, Oklahoma, Pamela Massengale, Soper, Oklahoma, David Massengale, Sacramento, California, Stacy Minyard, Silverton, Texas, and Kendall Minyard, Spur, Texas. His nieces and nephews always looked up to him. In his eyes they could do no wrong.

Celebration of Life will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022 at “Hobo”, with Kenneth Filsinger officiating. Please call his daughter for the address of location.
