Dick Hubbard

Richard Lee “Dick” Hubbard, age 86 passed away at 6:08 pm, Saturday. September 24, 2022 at his son’s home in Seneca, MO following an illness.

Dick was born August 13, 1936 in Sedalia, MO. His parents were Raymond and Lydia (Hays) Hubbard. He attended school at Pierce City.

He had served the country in the National Guard. He worked as a Semi truck mechanic at Jesse’s Truck Stop for 13 years, retiring in 2002 from Glen’s Diesel after working there for 25 years. 








Dick was a member of the House of Prayer, Riverton, KS and the Baxter Springs Saddle Club. He enjoyed fishing and riding horses.

Dick was married to Judy Kay Cunningham on June 4, 1961 in Lowell, KS. She survives.

Additional survivors include four sons, Rick Hubbard, Baxter Springs, Mike Hubbard (Darlene) Seneca, MO, Dan Hubbard (Trina) Sapulpa, OK, and Roger Hubbard (Rita) Disputanta, VA; one brother, Joe Hubbard, Riverton, KS; one sister Marie Rose, Webb City, MO; ten grandchildren, Brandy, Ezra, Christal (Kevin), Stacy (Jonathan), Sean, Dan Jr. (Erica), Sarah (Chad) Josh (Breanna) Roger Jr., and Jessica (Matt); and 11 great-grandchildren, A. C., Noah, Kelly, Charlie, Oliver, Delilah, Danielle, Kacey, Vada, Haley, and Axel.








He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Albert Hubbard, Ralph Hubbard, and John Hubbard, and one sister, Kay Rash.

He was entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel, Baxter Springs, KS for cremation.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at House of Prayer, Riverton, KS.
