Jettra Gardner

Jettra Lee Gardner, age 88, of Jasper, Missouri passed away September 9, 2022, at St. Luke's Nursing Center in Carthage, Missouri.

Jettra was born May 14, 1934 in Stigler, Oklahoma to John Riley Tucker and Edna Pearl (Brown) Tucker. On February 24, 1985, Jettra married David Linn Gardner in Austin, Texas.

Jettra worked as a telephone operator after high school for 2 - 3 years, owned a BBQ restaurant in Austin, TX, did merchandising for convenience stores and worked for Heart to Heart Homehealth. She loved reading books, crossword puzzles, country western dancing and was a huge fan of westerns, especially "Gunsmoke" and "The Virginian".






 

Survivors include her husband David; one son, Dustin Gardner; one daughter, Cheryl Sellstrom; one daughter-in-law, Drenda Gardner; 11 grandchildren, Jeff McClure, Michael McClure, Austin Barnes, Ashley Barnes-Caballero, Ava (Mary) Spahn, James Eller, Delayna Gardner, Darrah Gardner, Kate Sellstrom, Claire Sellstrom and Skylar (Daylan) Scrapper; five great-grandchildren, Aaleiyah Marie Cruz-Cavazos, Emma McClure, Vincent McClure, Sally McClure and Maize Grace Scrapper; and one brother, Chesterfield Tucker.

Jettra was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Barry Barnes; one daughter, Kim Eller; four brothers, Glen, L.D. (Chalk), J.D. and Troy; five sisters, Ruby, Ila, Inez, Irene and Pauline.








Jettra was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and wife and will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.

Services for Jettra will be held at a later date.
