Ruth Moore

Services for Ruth Kathleen Lehman-Moore are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Lane Buckley will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022.

Ruth Kathleen Lehman-Moore was born April 19, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away September 26, 2022 at the age of 75.

Kathleen, affectionately known as Omi by her grandchildren, grew up in Lawton where she met and married Timothy Lehman and raised 3 boys together. 








She worked as the Media Coordinator for East Central University while earning her degree to teach. While at ECU she employed many college students, some of whom she lovingly claimed to have adopted as her own.

Upon earning her teaching degree, Kathleen taught at Sulphur High School as the Vocational Business Teacher until retirement. After 36 years of marriage, she lost her husband, Tim, in a traffic accident. She later married John Moore and they enjoyed retirement together living in Ardmore. They enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Mission Texas where she made many friends.

Kathleen loved positively influencing many of the young people in her life. Some of her students made life altering choices with her advice in mind and cherish their experience with her still today. She touched the lives of literally 1000's of students throughout her career in education.








Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruth Myers; and husband of 37 years, Timothy Lehman. 

Survivors include her husband, John Moore of the home; children, Troy Lehman and wife Angie of Woodward, Ryan Lehman and wife Bobbi of Southern Pines, NC, Todd Lehman and wife Amy of Wellston; step-children, Brandy Moore of OKC and Bobby Butler and wife Delene of Carl Junction, MO; sisters-in-law, Marla Orr of Dallas, Donna Dee Nauman of Lawton; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; her students of whom she "adopted"; many other family members and friends.
