Kenny Perkins

Kenneth “Kenny” Robert Perkins, age 73, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 8:52 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born March 27, 1949, in Hoyt, Kansas, to the late Noble and Loretta (Hainline) Perkins. 

Kenny attended Edgewood Elementary School and graduated from Neosho High School in 1967; in August of 1967, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. 








He served his country for 20 years, retiring in August of 1987 with numerous decorations, medals, badges, and ribbons. Kenny proudly served during the Vietnam War and, throughout his term, worked in jet aircraft maintenance and as an aircraft maintenance instructor.

On May 5, 2002, he married Cheryle Rose in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Kenny worked for BASF and Talbot Wire in Neosho in maintenance. He enjoyed golf, fishing, watching TV, and surfing the internet for world knowledge.

Kenny will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 20 years, Cheryle; four children, Tabitha (Gavin) Smith, Christena (Jeff) Goff, Jennifer Thompson, and Thomas (Tarah) Cuppett; one sister, Delores Taylor; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tharp, Kyle, Kim, and Zak Goff; Kade Kamali, Kinley, and Bristol Cuppett; and great-grandchild, Allie Goff.






 

His brother Steve Perkins and grandson James Goff preceded him in death.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:30-7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. He will be interred at Oakwood Cemetery in Neosho at a later date.
