(From Ferry Funeral Home)Robert Dean McVay, 52, Nevada, MO passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Robert was born July 15, 1970, in Des Moines, IA to Larry A. McVay, Sr. and Claudia M. (Boyd) McVay.
Robert worked throughout his life as a carpenter, with an emphasis in residential construction. He had a love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping. He was also an avid Chicago Bears Fan. Robert loved his girls and the time he spent with them.
Survivors include three daughters, Amanda McVay and her husband Tyler Stair, Seneca, MO, Ashton McVay and her husband David Boles, Carl Junction, MO, Alana Williams and her husband Zach, Bronaugh, MO; mother, Claudia Roby, Nevada; grandchildren, Asher, Remi, Boone, Austyn, Navy, Thaydun, and Tuckstun; siblings, Melissa (Lee) Atchison, Lee's Summit, MO, Clifford McVay, Nevada, Larry McVay (Lisa), Dalton City, IL, Gary McVay, Winterset, IA, and Kim Osborn, Las Vegas, NV; nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Jennifer Hagerman, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father and a niece, Olivia McVay.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
