Dorothy L. Martin, 83, Joplin, MO, passed into eternal rest March 25, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield after an illness.
Dorothy Louise Jones was born December 26, 1932 in Sanger, TX the daughter of Ottis and Pearl (McClendon) Jones. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of the Seneca United Methodist Church.
Dorothy married Billy Alton Martin December 26, 1963 in Vinita, OK and he survives.
Additional survivors include; daughters, Kathy Martin and life partner Robert Chamberlion, Joplin, MO and Louise Mueller, Mesquite, TX; her God-daughter Kiristi Peaden, Tulsa; Niece Vicki Jones, Bellamy, Palm Springs, CA; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her best friend for 43 years Judy Brown, Chelsea, OK and her church family from the Seneca United Methodist Church.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 10:00am at the Seneca United Methodist Church with Rev. Cynthia Royce officiating.
