Marlene F. Allen, Neosho, died March 10, 2016 at her home, following an illness at the age of 63.
She was born October 20, 1952 in Logan, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil L. and Darlene (Henderson) Ball. The family moved to the Neosho area in 1957 from Iowa. Marlene graduated from Neosho High School in 1970 and last worked at the alternative school for the Neosho Public Schools as a secretary, working until April, 2015. She enjoyed gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles, reading and especially being with her grandchildren.
Marlene married Danny Allen on September 14, 1978 and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2003. She is survived by two children, Joshua D. Allen and Laura Beth Millard and husband, Brandon of Neosho; four grandchildren, Connor Allen, Christian Fell, Mariah Fell and Haleigh Fell; one brother, Mike Ball and wife, Carol of Golden, Missouri; two sisters, Kandis Pendley and husband, Howard of Carthage, Missouri and Christy Conness and husband, Robert of Neosho; her mother in law, Opal Allen of Stella and other extended family. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her father in law, Herbert Allen.
