Jack Williams

Mr. Jack Wade Williams, 75, of Pineville, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, March 25, 2016, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jack began his earthly journey on April 24, 1940, in Albion, Oklahoma, to the late Ray and Octavia (Cranford) Williams. On July 18, 1959, in Carson City, Nevada he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Barbara Ann Anders and to this union three children were born. Jack moved his family from California to McDonald County Missouri in 1967. He worked at the Cheese Plant in Anderson and Sunbeam in Neosho. He started out as “Box Boy” at Sunbeam, retiring in 1995 as Plant Superintendent after twenty-eight years of service. Jack was still happily serving as Alderman for the City of Pineville and was a faithful Deacon at the Pineville First Baptist Church, where he loved the children and singing in the church choir. Jack thoroughly loved his family, his community and his church family. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, his guitar and keyboard and watching sports on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, Roger Williams and Wanda Smith.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-six years, Barbara Williams of the home; two sons, David Andrew Williams and wife, Reane, of Jasper, Missouri and John Alan Williams and wife, Vicki, of Kimberling City, Missouri; a daughter Barbara Ann “Barbie” Williams of Pineville, Missouri; one granddaughter, Alexis Williams; five grandsons, Mitchell, Jonathan, Austin, Brandon and Logan Jack Williams; four great grandsons, Camden, Lincoln, Augustus and Eli; three sisters, Dorothy Perry, Jane Elaine Tow and husband, Dink and Joan Etta “Pooch” Smith and husband, Donald all of Porterville, California; a brother, Pastor Bud Williams and wife, Fern, also of Porterville; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Williams are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Pineville, Missouri, with Pastor Hap Anders, Bro. Ryan Crawford and Dr. Larry Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Austin, Brandon and Logan Jack Williams, along with Gregg “Boss” Sweeten and fellow Deacon Charlie Thacker. Mitchell Williams, Harold Anders and Harley Tilman will be serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
