Freeda Mae Martin, 97, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center. Freeda was born September 15, 1919 in Liberal, Missouri to Ray and Ruby “Burket” Stanley. She was a homemaker, a lifetime resident of Carthage, Missouri and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Freeda was united in marriage to Cecil Martin in 1938 in Carthage, Missouri; he preceeded her in death in 1991.
Freeda is survived by two sons Dennis Martin and Mike Martin, both of Carthage, one sister Marjorie Hodkin of Carthage, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Freeda was proceeded in death by one brother Raymond Stanley and one sister Faye Davis.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
