Michael Perry

Michael Moore Perry, Jr., age 65, Webb City, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Freeman West Hospital.

Michael was born July 24, 1951 in Carthage, Missouri, son of Michael M. Perry, Sr., and Margaret Mink Perry of Carthage, Missouri. He graduated from Joplin High School, and then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Missouri in Rolla, Missouri in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Rockwell-Collins Engineering in Richardson, Texas, Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, and Zenith Television in Springfield, Missouri before retiring. Michael enjoyed HAM radio, and fishing. He was a member of Christ's Church of Oronogo.

Survivors include his wife, Janice N. Hazlett Perry whom he married November 15, 1975 in Webb City; his children, Darlene Perry and Michelle Perry both of Webb City, and Heather Graddy and husband Adam of Joplin; siblings, Janet Greninger and husband Lee of Joplin, Albert Perry and wife Keithlyn of Austin, Texas, Anna Johnson and husband Joe of Neosho, Missouri, Ellen Cantrell and husband Steve of Danville, Arkansas, and Roger Perry and wife Theresa of Searcy, Arkansas; grandchildren, Skyler Perry, Ella Graddy, and Neva Graddy; brother-in-law, John Ford of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Carl Junction Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
