Viola Ash

Viola Vivian Ash age 92, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Granby, Missouri.
 
She was born September 11, 1924 in Galena, Missouri, the daughter of James and Era Faster. On October 20, 1942, she was united in marriage to Hansford Lester Ash who preceded her in death. Surviving are one son, Sidney Ash and his wife Linda of Strafford, Missouri; two daughters, Sandra Tichenor and her husband John of Wasilla, Alaska and Angela Mann and her husband Tom of Granby, Missouri; two sisters, Thelma Roetto of Monett, Missouri, Pearl Graves of Turlock, California; seven grandchildren, Cynthia Olheiser, Stephanie Flowers, Todd Ash, Jason Tichenor, Courtney Mann, Michael Mann, and Caitlin Mann and four great grandchildren, Tatiana Tichenor, Logan Tichenor, Olivia Flowers and Ellie Flowers along with numerous nephews and nieces.
 
Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and six sisters.
 
Viola grew up in the Jenkins area attending school for a short time. Viola was a homemaker caring for her husband and children. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
 
Her favorite past times were attending church, reading her Bible, cooking, cleaning and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
 
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
 
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
 
Contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church in memory of Viola.
