Rita Kline

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Rita Whisman Kline passed from this life on November 8, 2016.

She was born October 13, 1945 in Horatio, Arkansas and moved to Neosho with her family in 1956, where she spent her formative years and graduated from Neosho High School in 1963. She received her Master's degree in Special Education and taught special education at Carthage and Diamond Schools. She became principal at the State School of the Severely Handicapped in Joplin and then owned and operated Oakland Little Prep School and Mother Goose Daycare for several years. She then joined the Neosho Public School System as Process Coordinator for the special education department. She made her career out of helping special needs children to have better lives and she touched many children with her kindness and attention. Rita was always the life of the party and was very quick witted. Your were guaranteed to laugh whenever she was in the room. We are convinced she picked this day to pass so that she wouldn't have to vote in this election!!
