Shirley Mae Steverson age 81 of Carterville passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born on June 20, 1935 in Joplin, Missouri to Donald E. Clemons and Ethel (Barnes) Clemons. Shirley was a homemaker and also worked in the cash office at Walmart for many years. She was preceded in death by two husbands; Clarence Tandy, Jr. on October 1, 1987 and then Dewey Steverson on November 13, 2009.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Janice Love-Brauburger and husband Scott of Carthage, Norma Legg and husband Lenny of Carterville; a son, Mike Tandy and wife Diane of Carterville; brothers, Eddie Clemons of Prosperity, David Clemons and Phillip Clemons both of Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Geisert officiating.
