Brenda Joyce Garde, age 65, of Webb City, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 in Carterville, Missouri from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Brenda was born on September 26, 1952 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Woodrow Edward and Alice Geneva Marcus Garde, who preceded her in death. Brenda served her country in the United States Navy. Upon her discharge from her military service, she worked as a truck driver. Brenda loved animals, especially her cats. She also loved spending time with her family and many cherished friends.
Survivors include her brother, Gary Garde (Peggy Coleman) of Joplin; two nieces, Jennifer Phillips of Joplin and Shannan Stafford (Bobby) of Carthage.
Graveside services, with full military honors, are scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2018 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 South Southwood Drive, Springfield, Missouri (by Springfield Lake.) Visitation is planned for Saturday, June 16, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
