Gregory Bruce Kivett, Sr., 63, Neosho, entered into rest on June 27, 2018 at his home, following an extended illness.
Greg was born Jan. 24, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of James and Mary (Stahl) Kivett. He moved to the southwest Missouri area in 1990 from California and had worked as a professional truck driver retiring from Republic Services. He loved gardening and watching birds and especially being with his family. He was known as ‘Poppy’ to his grandchildren.
Greg and Linda (Grotjohn) were married on Jan. 27, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives. Additional survivors include five children, Greg Kivett and wife, Megan of Joplin; Jason Kivett; Vanessa Anderson; Erik Kivett and wife, Michelle and Jeffrey Kivett, all of Neosho; three brothers, Jim Kivett of Neosho; Jeff Kivett, State of CA and Kevin Kivett of Neosho; four sisters, Karon Del Chario of Fullerton, CA; Laura Standley, State of CA; Karlotta Kivett of Victorville, CA and Pam Hamilton of Neosho and fifteen grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 29, 2018 at 9 am at the New Salem Cemetery, officiating will be Rev. Buddy Funk.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
