Opal Louise Glisson, age 77, of Wheaton, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at her home.
She was born August 8, 1940 in Barry County, Missouri the daughter of Spencer and Grace (Womack) Wallace. On December 23, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas she was united in marriage to Clell Glisson, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Steven Tyler Glisson of Joplin, Missouri; three daughters, Tonya Kendall and her husband Chris of Georgia, Vermont, Tracy Fisher of Seminole, Oklahoma and Sheila Kirst of Park City, Utah; one brother, Johnny Wallace and his wife Wilma of Berryville, Arkansas; two sisters, Junie Brown of Wheaton, Missouri and Joann Hatcher and her husband Fred of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and seven grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters and two grandsons.
Opal grew up in Barry County where she received her education. She then attended beauty and business school and spent much of her life as a self-employed hairdresser. For forty years she resided in Owasso, Oklahoma before moving back to Barry County to live in Wheaton.
Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Kenneth Carney will conduct the services. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Friends may call after 12:00 noon Tuesday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
