Patricia Helen Stines, age 84, Carthage, Missouri passed into the Lord's hands, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Carthage Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on August 24, 1933 in Duluth, Minnesota to Ralph R. Baker and Zelma Underwood Baker. She married George A. Stines on April 7, 1951 in Oxnard, California. He preceded her in death December 14, 2007.
Patricia was a devoted wife and mother taking great pride in raising her three children. She faithfully attended First Baptist Church in Carthage, Missouri for 49 years and sang in both choirs, taught Sunday School and worked in Nursery and Children's Departments for many years. She loved singing, music, baking, gardening, camping, crossword puzzles and spending lots of time with family.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Herman ‘Dale’ Carrier; a grandson, Kristopher Michael Smith; two brothers, Harold Baker and William Baker; and four sisters, Lawanda Anderson, Betty Van Keuren, Mary Toliver, and Rosalie Menalia. Survivors include a son, George Russell Stines, wife Pamela ; two daughters, Patricia Carrier, and Katherine Stines; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, one on the way; and two great great grandchildren.
Her services are planned for June 17, 2018, 1:00 PM at Fullerton Cemetery south of Carthage, Missouri. All her friends are welcome to join the family as we remember and celebrate her life. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
