Debbie Berner

Deborah “Debbie” Kay Berner, age 62, of Neosho, MO passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was born on January 4, 1956 in Waynesville, MO. 

The daughter of Glen McDaniel and Oneitta Davenport McDaniel, Debbie was a 1974 graduate of Neosho High School. She married Roy Berner on May 29, 1981 in Neosho, MO. She was a former dental assistant. More recently, Debbie was the center of her family. She was an incredible partner, loving mother, and generous Granny B. Debbie cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to family gatherings, she enjoyed camping, cooking, shopping, spending time with her pets, and appreciating all aspects of nature. 

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ronnie and Kenny McDaniel. Survivors include her husband, Roy Berner; a son, Joe Berner and wife Heather, of Neosho, MO; a daughter, Audrey Brooks and husband Corey, of Neosho, MO; two brothers, Steve McDaniel and R.G. McDaniel; three sisters, Judy Brown, Sue Berry and Dianna Morton; and three grandchildren, Mason and Hadley Berner, and Jack Brooks. 

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 8, 2018 at the Knell Mortuary in Carthage, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service time Friday at the Knell Mortuary. Private family inurnment will be held at Park Cemetery in Carthage at a later date. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family suggests contributions to Neosho Bright Futures to honor her love of all children. Donations may be left in care of the Knell Mortuary P.O.
