Carma Fultz

Carma Lee Fultz, 59 of Pittsburg, KS left this Earth to reside in her new Heavenly address at 1:18pm on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg, after a brief illness.

Carma was born in Granby Mo on July 19, 1958. Her parents were Father, James (Jim) Stover, Step-mother, Kathy Stover, and biological mother, Donna (Morris) Hamilton,. She was raised by her grandmother, Marilyn Morris

She had lived in Pittsburg the past 1 ½ Years, but had lived most of her life in the Galena, KS area. She attended Galena High School, and later went to Columbus VO-Tech graduating as a machinist.

She worked at Ace Electric, Columbus, KS as a Machinist for several years, after leaving Ace, she went to work for the Dollar General Store in Baxter Springs, KS, and transferred to the Galena Dollar General Store and retired there as Assistant Manager for many years.

Carm’s greatest accomplishment in life aside from her children was never meeting a stranger and knowing how to love unconditionally…Having a HUGE heart! (LITERALLY). She was known to many as Momma, Aunt, Nana, Sister, and a dependable friend to all. She had attended the Galena Assembly of God. She enjoyed attending Blues music festivals, collecting rocksand spending time with her best friend “neighbor” Sherie Barnes..

She has four children, Kimberly Fultz-Newberry (husband George), Grove, OK, Misty Tucker (husband Charles), Galena, Sonia Myers (significant other, Albert McGee), Joplin,MO, and Mandy Shere (fiancĂ© Allan Faucette), Galena; 11 grandchildren, Kristiaan Holt, Kayleb Shere, Zachary Holt, Kaity Schwabenlander, Alexandra Wylie, Isabella Myers, Mae Myers, Alexandria Faucette, Angel Myers, Samantha Ogle, and Dillon Foote; one great-granddaughter, Keyona Holland; Siblings: Rose Taylor (husband Bill), Jamie Stover (wife Debbie), Tabatha Litig (husband Chris), Mark Stover (wife Charlease), all of Galena, and Scott Hamilton, State of Oklahoma; 22 Nieces & Nephew’s 25 great nieces and nephew’s and two more on the way.

Carma was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Fultz, father Jim Stover, Mother Donna Hamilton, step-father, Lewis Hamilton, sisters Loriann Stover and Lori Hamilton, brother Doug Hamilton, granddaughter, Tashia’ Renee Brownfield, grandmothers Marilyn Morris, Juanita Wildebur and broth –in-law, Steve Thurston.

She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm. ­­­­­­­­­­­Friday, June 22, 2018 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Jim Jones and Roger Scantlin will officiate.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.
