Robert William Jacob Rushing, age 36, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Independence, Missouri after a sudden illness.
Jacob was born November 15, 1981 in Clinton, Oklahoma, son of Robert D. Rushing and Donna Lee Cochrane. He graduated from Glendale High School in Springfield in 2000, and worked most of his adult life in the restaurant industry as a chef. He was also a very talented artist, especially with pencil sketching. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and was also a big fan of the Golden State Warriors.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Marlene Cochrane.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Booe and husband Mike of Joplin; son, Jakobi Rushing, sister, Tierra Riley and husband Mike of Bolivar, Missouri, brother, Corey Rushing of Kansas City, Missouri; 1/2 sister, Beverly Rushing of Joplin; 1/2 brother, Justin Rushing of Webb City; step brother, Nick Booe and family, and step-sister, Michelle Booe Johnson and family all of Joplin; nephews, Keelan Riley, Isabella Rushing, Elijah Rushing, and Kordell Riley; grandfather, Bill Cochrane of Springfield, Missouri.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. No services are planned at this time.
