Kenda Henson

Kenda Lucille Henson, age 63, Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Mercy of Joplin.

Kenda was born February 26, 1959 in Joplin, Missouri, daughter of the late John Frossard and Lois (Purcell) Frossard. She graduated from Diamond High School, and worked for years as a cook for Chastain’s Nursing Home, then Greenbrier Nursing Home, and finally with the Meadows Nursing Center.






 

She loved spending time with family being outdoors, whether fishing, picking flowers with her grandchildren, or cooking a good meal, she always put others needs ahead of her own. She especially loved spending time (spoiling) her grandchildren. You would also be fortunate to be treated like her companions, Daisy and Cooter.

In addition to her parents, Kenda was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Gary, Paul, Loyd Frossard, and a sister, Ilene McElroy.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Henson; daughter, Sabina Lynn Cline (Chris) of Harrison, Arkansas, sons, Clyde Henson (Sandra) of Anderson, Missouri, and Andy Henson of Joplin; grandchildren, Katie Henson of Anderson, Novaleigh Ann Villegas (Dante) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Anissa Martin (Shaun) of Galena, Kansas, and Jeremiah Cline (Kalissa Taylor) of Joplin; great-grandchild, Octavia Rose Villegas; sister, Shirley Evans; brother, Lenny Frossard; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and Randy’s brothers and sisters and their children.

Funeral service will be Saturday 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Alan McCamey officiating.

Cremation will follow the service with arrangements under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
