Jennie Howard

(From Lakin Funeral Home)

Jennie Howard, age 67, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Wentworth, Missouri. She was born on July 8, 1958, in Jackson County, Missouri. Jennie, known to most as “Nana,” held a special place in the hearts of those who loved her and was truly the best nana ever. She brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria Norval (Duncan) and James Norval; and a brother, Jessie Norval.

Jennie is survived by her five children: Randall Willms (Darcy), James Howard (Tiffany), Jack Howard (Erika), Candy Howard, and Misty Coscia (Scott). Her love for them was unwavering.

Her legacy lives on through her many grandchildren—Whitny, Kayley, Jaron, Onis, Ryan, Brent, Shai, Kyla, Alexis, Cody, Chelsea, Faith, Mason, Jordan, Virgil, Adyson, Autum, and Brandon—and great-grandchildren, August, Jace, Everleigh, Lazarus, Jalen, Barrett, Mavis, Eula-Jade, Oliver, Jorge, Maddox, Hunter, June, Jack, Brylyx, and Elliana; along with her siblings, Jim Norval (Betty), Leta Thornton, Joice Williams, and Ken Dubner; and many, many other close relatives.

Jennie found joy in the simple pleasures—camping under the stars, swimming and floating on summer days, casting a line out, dancing freely, and singing karaoke. A devoted Elvis Presley fan, she was along with all the classics. She loved all life.

A service honoring Jennie’s life will be held on January 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at River of Life Church, 1504 Glen St. Monett, MO.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
