(From Parker Mortuary)Mark E. Drew, age 69, of Joplin, MO, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Mark was born on September 30, 1956 in Joplin, MO to the union of Cody and Susie (Carr) Drew. He was a proud 1974 graduate of Parkwood High School and a lifelong resident of Joplin, MO. He then went on to work as a Journeyman painter in the local area for over 20 years. Mark also worked as a parts manager for several car dealerships in the area for over 15 years.
He married the love of his life, Janet Rainwater, on July 23, 1977 in Joplin, MO. To this union brought two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Bethany. Mark and Janet were lifetime members at Blendville Christan Church. He was extremely talented with his hands, including woodworking and tinkering with cars. He was an auto racing fanatic from dirt track to NASCAR. He was also an avid Mickey Mouse collector. Above all though, Mark was extremely family-oriented and always made sure his family was taken care of.
Mark was preceded in death by both of his parents, Cody and Susie Drew.
Mark is survived by his wife, Janet Drew, of the home; two daughters, Lauren Slater and husband, Justin, of Webb City, MO and Bethany Drew, of Joplin, MO two grandchildren, Claire and Cole Slater; and one sister, Linda Leemon and husband, Ken, of Texas.
Mark was preceded in death by both of his parents, Cody and Susie Drew.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made out to Blendville Christian Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Blendville Christian Church with Pastor David Martin and Stephen Sansom officiating. Interment to follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
