Dolores Jean Shellenbarger, age 93, Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at National Health Care of Joplin
Dolores was born December 12, 1924 in Idaho, daughter of the late Joseph Fernando Holden and Viola Abbott Holden. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1942, and worked for Joplin Venetian Blind and then over 40 years with Century Manufacturing, where she retired as office manager. She was also a member of Cornerstone Christian Church of Joplin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Shellenbarger; brother, James Holden; and two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Landon.
Survivors include her sons, Kent Shellenbarger and wife Wanda, and Robert "Bob" Shellenbarger and wife Carol, all of Carl Junction; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday, January 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Doug Gamble officiating.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cornerstone Christian Church of Joplin.
