Pansy Shoup Wardlow, age 93, of rural Carl Junction, Mo. passed away at 3:40 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Oak Pointe in Carthage, Mo. Pansy was born July 6, 1924 in Oronogo, Mo., the daughter of James and Edna Yeager Etcheson. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Carl Junction area most of her life. Pansy was a member of the Frisco Church in Webb City, Mo.
Pansy was preceded in death by two husbands, Clarence W. Shoup, and Melvin L. Wardlow.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Dale E. Shoup, and Gerald T. Shoup, three brothers, Floyd, Tom, and Bill Etcheson, and four sisters, Lena Fallon, Lily Dickson, Hazel Berry, and Lorene Alumbaugh. Survivors include six sons, Don Shoup (Dixie), Carl Junction, Melvin Wardlow (Bonnie), Aurora, Co., Mike Wardlow (Ramona), Lansing, Ks. and Larry Wardlow, Steve Wardlow (Tina), and Jim Wardlow (Bea), all of Leavenworth, Ks. one daughter, Laura Tolliver (Roger), Leavenworth, Ks., two daughters in law, Barbara Shoup, Carl Junction, and Sharon Shoup, Conroe, Tx., 28 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 38 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Frisco Church in Webb City with Rev. Matt Snyder officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. Memorial contributions are requested to Samaritan’s Point Food Pantry at Frisco Church in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
