Thomas Ray Barker, 69, Neosho, passed away on Jan. 17, 2018.
He was born June 24, 1948 in Picher, OK, son of John William and Maggie Lee (Mensch) Barker. A longtime area resident, Thomas was a heavy equipment operator for Vaughan and Swift Construction companies.
Thomas married Doris Jean Barker in Miami, OK; she preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 1990. He is survived by three children: Lisa Barnes and husband, Patrick of Bentonville, AR, Jana Gilstrap and husband, Jerry of Joplin, MO and David Barker of Joplin, MO; three brothers: Jack Barker of Neosho, Bill Barker and Don Barker, both of Granby, MO; three grandchildren: Brittanie Sparlin, Jeffrey Parman, and Jack Barnes. In addition to his wife, Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Barker, and one sister, Linda Barker.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Galen Lassiter officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Sunday, Jan. 21 between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.
