Don J. Killebrew, age 79, Webb City, passed away at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Freeman Hospital after a sudden illness.
Don was born December 26, 1938 in Neosho to the late Don J. Killebrew, Sr. and Clara Mensch Killebrew and had lived in Southwest Missouri most of his life.
Don practiced law in Neosho for several years before being named Newton County Circuit Court Judge in 1979. He retired in 2002 and was named Senior Judge from January of 2003 until December 31, 2004. Don enjoyed traveling and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Joplin.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Killebrew Niday, Texas; one son, Christopher Killebrew and wife, Julie, Baxter Springs, Kansas; a sister, Joan Killebrew, Texas; four grandchildren, Kaydence, Kylen, Mackenzie, Mikealan; and one niece and one nephew.
Private graveside services are planned.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
