Bob Kennamer

Robert “Bob” Eugene Kennamer, age 80, of Joplin, passed away on Wednesday January 21, 2015, at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon, Mo.

 Bob was born on May 26, 1934 in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of the late Oland and Opal (Cornwell) Kennamer. He served in the United States Marines and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as an independent sales representative. He enjoyed golf.

 He married Dolores Duke and she preceded him in death in July of 2003.He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jody Smith; a grandson, Gage Young; and a sister, Betty Wooten. He married Jerrie Ann Marlar on June 19, 2004 and she survives. Additional survivors include, two sons, Bob Kennamer and wife Karen, Thousand Oaks, Ca., and Mike Kennamer, Joplin; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Roger Hasselquist, Minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Card Sappington, Cliff Rice, Gary Booth, Steve Cupp, Frank Pardon, and Cecil Deel. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Harris and Ted Wright. Friends may call during regular visiting hours. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
