Thelma Isabelle Gordon, age 84 of Joplin passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at National Health Care Rehabilitation Center in Joplin.
Thelma was born April 6, 1930 in DeWitt, Missouri to the late Paul Ketron and Betsy Barker Ketron. She was a homemaker, raising her 10 kids and supporting her husband.
She married Clyde Gordon on October 29, 1946 in Joplin and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1977. She is also preceded in death by three children, Trudy Mae Daniels, Michael Gordon and Wyatt Gordon.
Survivors include daughters, Dohanna Self of Springfield, MO., Hally Alexander of Neosho; sons, Llewellyn of Joplin, Stacey of Chicago, IL, Scott of Baxter Springs, KS, Steven of Joplin and Robin of Joplin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Long, Margie Sander, Mrytle Merle and Vera Wormington, all of Joplin; many extended family.
Thelma will be cremated with no services planned at this time.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
