Dorothy Stoner

Dorothy Lorraine Stoner, 86, of Seneca, died at 11 pm Tuesday, January 13th 2015 at her home.

 She was born March 9th, 1928 in St. Louis, Mo but spent her childhood in Oklahoma City, Ok until the age of 14, when her mother passed away. She them moved to Seneca where her aunt and uncle raised her and her siblings. She then spent the first part of her married life in Tulsa, Ok where she worked at J.T. Ryerson for 11 years. She moved back to Seneca in March of 1959 where she spent the remainder of her years as a homemaker. Dorothy was known as 'Dot' or 'Dottie' to her friends and was nicknamed 'Gemo' by her grandchildren.  Gemo was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always put her family first. She loved cooking for her family, playing games, and hosting family get-togethers. She was loved so deeply by her family and friends and will always be missed. 

She married Paul E. Stoner on August 24th, 1946 who preceded her in death August 29th, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Stoner, a brother, Bob McKenna, and a grandson, Benjamin Fritchey. Survivors include a son, Tim Stoner and wife Karen of Joplin, a daughter Tammy Fritchey and husband Denny of Seneca, eight grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. 
 
Memorial Services are under direction of Campbell Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, Mo. Memorial services will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 17th at Campbell Biddlecome Chapel.
