Kathaleen J. McClanahan Boore of Carl Junction, Missouri died Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Kathaleen was born near Alba, Missouri on October 30, 1929. Kathaleen married Floyd Keith Boore on August 6, 1951. She was a Christian and an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, and a teacher at Sarcoxie, Waynesville, and Joplin. She also taught Adult Education and Literacy classes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy C. McClanahan and Lela R. McClanahan, and her husband, Floyd Keith Boore.
She is survived by her three daughters, Beth Stephens, Jill (Dave) Smith, and Amy Boore, her four grandchildren, Alison (Ben) Wilkins, Dan (Maire) Schultz, Andrea Stephens, and David Schultz; her two great-grandchildren, Lydia Wilkins and Eamon Wilkins, and her sister, Dr. Charleen L. Varner.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Randy Steele and Bob Simon officiating. Interment will follow in Friends Cemetery, Purcell, Missouri.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to her church, New Hope United Methodist Church.
