Phillip Hoge

Phillip Steward Hoge, age 70, lost his brave battle with ALS on January 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Becky; two sons, Chris Hoge and his family, Amy, Owen, William and Julia, all of Republic, and Jeremy Hoge of Lee's Summit; a brother, David Hoge; an aunt, Helen Huntley; in-laws, Mary Lee Denney, and Deanna and Roy Roberts; three nephews; as well as many close friends and beloved former students.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Tad Hoge; and his father-in-law, Bill Denney.

Phil is a retired Biology teacher. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1962, received a Bachelor of Science from Missouri Southern State University, and a Master of Science from the University of Central Missouri.

Memorial services will be in Carthage, Mo., under the direction of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut St., Carthage, MO. Time and dates are pending, but will be placed on this website as soon as they are known.
