Mary Lou Roffman

Mary Lou Roffman was a lifetime Carthage resident and worked for Safeway Cheese plant for 22 years, later she and her husband worked together for 18 years owning and operating Roffmann’s Vegetable Farm. Mary Lou was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Carthage, since 1959 to present.

 Mary Lou was united in marriage to Wayne Roffmann November 23, 1996 in Carthage, he survives. Mary Lou is survived by two sons Mark Fox and Wife Sherry of Cooper, TX, Micheal Fox and wife Doretta of Neosho, MO, one daughter Karen McDowell and husband Ronnie of Sumner, TX, one step-son Peter Roffmann and wife Sandra of Oronogo, MO, one step-daughter Mary Howell and husband Blane of Charleston, SC. Two sisters Lavina Richmond and Husband Kenneth of Webb City, MO, and Martha Trowbridge and husband Richard of Carthage, MO. 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Clifford Achey, John H Achey Jr., Alvin Achey, and Loren Achey and one great grandchild Celes Elise Fox. 

Funeral services will be held 10:30 Friday January 16, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church of Carthage. Pastor Timothy Buelow will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday January 15, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral home. Burial will be at Hackney Cemetery.
