Deloris M. Pierce, age 80, of Pierce City, MO died on Sunday, March 08, 2015 at Freeman Health System West in Joplin, MO. Mrs. Pierce was born in Sarcoxie, MO on Saturday, November 17, 1934. She was the daughter of George and Ruth (Chandler) Robertson. Miss Robertson married Leoma "Lee" Pierce on Saturday, January 17, 1959, at the Berwick Church. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2011. She was a homemaker, worked at Thompson Drug Store in Pierce City for many years, and was a member of the Berwick Community Church.
Surviving are the following: two sons, Gary Pierce of Pierce City, MO and Rick Pierce of Monett, MO; four sisters, Evelyn Boswell of Joplin, MO, Joyce Dalton of Joplin, MO, Diane Hogan of Harlingen, TX, and Linda Eggleston of Stella, MO; four brothers, Carl Lee Robertson of Joplin, MO, David Robertson of Sarcoxie, MO, Lonnie Robertson of Sarcoxie, MO, and Dale Robertson of Carthage, MO; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be at Berwick Community Church west of Pierce City, MO on Thursday, March 12, 2015, beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Langford officiating. Burial will follow at Berwick Cemetery west of Pierce City, MO.
