Martha E. Allee age 76 of Joplin, passed away on Friday, March 06, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born in Carthage, Missouri to Revere Ogden and Ethel (Campbell) Ogden on November 16, 1938. Martha worked at Carthage Marble for 15 years, and Atlas Powder Company for 21 years where she retired from. She was a very strong believer in family and loved to spend time with her grandkids. Martha also loved to farm, ride horses, work in her garden, and was very well known for being an excellent cook. She worked very hard all her life and as her family says worked as hard as any man ever could.
Martha is survived by her son, Rod Allee of Carterville; daughter, Dena Allee of Joplin; grandchildren, Ray Allee, Ashlee Allee, Katlyn Allee; great grandson, Hayden Allee; along with 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. The family will have a visitation on Monday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Park Cemetery in Carthage.
